In anticipation of storms rolling into Honolulu, Hawaii, Sunday afternoon, tee times for the final round of the Sony Open have been pushed up by two hours.
The forecast for Honolulu predicts heavy rain showers late in the afternoon and a poor forecast on Monday so the PGA Tour announced Saturday evening tee times will begin at 8:30 a.m. local time (1:30 p.m. ET) in hopes of crowning a winner before inclement weather hits.
The final round of the Sony Open will now broadcast live on the Golf Channel from 4-8 p.m. ET.
On Saturday in Honolulu, the temperature was in the high 70s and low 80s as the third round began. As of the end of the second round, 45 players were within six shot of the lead.
