NORMAN – Oklahoma (11-1, 0-0 Big 12) opens Big 12 play Sunday when it travels to Lubbock, Texas, to take on Texas Tech at United Supermarkets Arena. The Sooners own an eight-game winning streak that includes two wins over teams inside the NET's top 25 and a combined five victories over top-100 NET teams. The winning streak is OU's longest since it won 20 consecutive games in the 2008-09 season en route to the Final Four.

The game will be broadcast on Big 12 Now on ESPN+ and will air on the Sooner Radio Network on KOKC 1520 AM and KREF 99.3 FM/1400 AM with Chris Plank on the call.

THE STARTING FIVE

  • The Sooners return to the floor following an 89-67 win over Wichita State. A balanced offensive attack saw Oklahoma's starters pour in 77 points as Skylar Vann, Liz Scott, Kennady Tucker and Kaley Perkins all registered career-high nights in points. Freshman guard Kelbie Washington broke OU's freshman single-game assist record by dishing out 14 dimes in the win.

  • Under head coach Jennie Baranczyk, the Sooners high-powered offense is one of the best in the country and on track to be the best in school history. Baranczyk's team averages 89.1 points, good for second-best in the country. The team's 20.0 assists per game also rank second in the nation as four Sooners dish out at least 2.3 assists per contest. OU's 10.0 3-pointers made per game are the ninth-most in Division I as Taylor Robertson's 4.83 makes per game from deep lead the country.

  • Assisted by the Sooners, the Big 12 Conference owns a combined 83-23 record after non-conference play. The league's .783% winning percentage is the nation's second-best for a conference. The Big 12's average NET ranking of 47.4 is also good for second nationally and the Sooners sit 36th in the latest rankings.

  • OU's 11-1 start to the season is its best start since the 2006-07 season when OU opened the year 17-1 en route to a Big 12 Championship. The team is off to its best home start (7-0) since it won a dozen straight at the Lloyd Noble Center to open the 2014-15 season. More impressively, Oklahoma owns a five-game winning streak on the road, dating back to last season.

  • Oklahoma was six votes shy of appearing inside the AP Top 25 in this week's poll, receiving 78 votes. The Sooners earned 44 votes in the WBCA Coaches Poll, good for 29th had the poll carried that far. OU remains squarely in the conversation for a berth in the NCAA Tournament as its ranked 38th in the latest NET Rankings. The Sooners are trying to make their way into the Top 25 for the first time since week one of the 2017-18 season when they were ranked No. 21 by the AP voters.

SERIES HISTORY

Sunday's contest marks the 66th all-time meeting between the Sooners and Lady Raiders, who have met annually since 1997. Oklahoma owns the series record 39-26 and swept the Lady Raiders last season winning both in Norman and Lubbock to snap a four-game series losing streak. OU holds a slim 16-15 advantage in Lubbock where it is 11-3 since 2007.
