DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke women's tennis team competed at the first day of the UNC Invitational Saturday against NC State in the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center. Individually, the Blue Devils registered four doubles wins and three singles victories.

The day was split into two rounds of both doubles and singles action, beginning with doubles.

Margaryta Bilokin and Meible Chi picked up a huge win over No. 2 Anna Rogers and Alana Smith (6-4) to kick the day off on a high note. No. 56 Georgia Drummy and Karolina Berankova secured a 6-3 win over Abigail Rencheli and Amelia Rajecki before Hannah Zhao and Ema Lazic concluded the first round of doubles with a 7-6 (6) victory.

In the second rotation, Chi teamed up with Chloe Beck to defeat No. 2 Rogers and Smith (6-2).

In the first rotation of singles action, No. 44 Bilokin defeated Rajecki (3-6, 6-1, 6-1) before No. 111 Chi secured a 6-3, 6-0 win over Daniel.

Sunday's action for Duke at the UNC Invitational in Chapel Hill has been canceled.
