British Land Co. said Wednesday that it has reopened 64% of its stores in England as of Tuesday, adding that sales from open stores for the week beginning June 14 were 91% of a year earlier.
The real-estate company said that as of Wednesday all of its retail places were open and as of Tuesday, 64% of stores in England, 50% in Scotland and 64% in Wales were open.
The group also reported that its assets in England achieved footfall of 64% in the week beginning June 14 compared with last year. Like-for-like retail sales from open stores were 91% in the same period.
British Land added that, as of Friday, it had collected 88% of rent for offices and 36% for retail for the June quarter.
