
TEXARKANA, Texas – Texas women's golf senior Kaitlyn Papp on Saturday placed fourth at the Texarkana Children's Charities Open, a Women's All-Pro Tour event, at Texarkana Country Club.
Papp, an Austin, Texas, native, turned in a seven-under-par four-round total of 279 [71-75-66-67]. She finished the week with 41 pars, 18 birdies and an eagle. Papp was the top-finishing amateur in the field.
The event featured 72 holes of stroke play with the field being cut after 54 holes.
Former Texas golfer Maddie Luitwieler, of Katy, Texas, earned a 27th-place finish with a 12-over-par 298 [76-76-67-79].
Recent Texas graduate Emilee Hoffman, of Folsom, Calif., also competed in the Texarkana Children's Charities Open, but missed the cut, finishing at 11-over-par.
