This week, Slate launched Open Book, a series about going back to school. Restarting classes after summer looks quite different this year, with many students beginning as they finished the last year: remotely. In the series’ first two pieces, we explore how to be successful at remote learning and whether outdoor school can work for districts. This week, we want to know how your school district or university is approaching fall. What’s your city or town’s plan, and how do you feel about it?
The Open Discussions are here for commenters to connect with one another outside the fast-moving, sometimes contentious article pages. It’s a place for online friends to share a joke or newcomers to get their feet wet. As always, our discussion topic is a suggestion, not a command, so feel free to (civilly) talk among yourselves.
Readers like you make our work possible. Help us continue to provide the reporting, commentary, and criticism you won’t find anywhere else.
