DURHAM, N.C. – Four Duke women's golfers will tee it up starting Thursday in the U.S. Women's Open, which is being played Dec. 10-13 at Champions Golf Club in Houston, Texas.  Seeing action will be Brittany Lang, Celine Boutier, Yu Liu and Ana Belac.

A total of 156 golfers from 26 different countries will compete in 2020.

Lang, the 2016 U.S. Women's Open Champion, will see action in her home state of Texas as she competes in her 16th open championship.

A year ago, both Boutier and Liu led the U.S. Women's Open in Charleston, S.C., before finishing tied fifth overall at three-under-par, 281.  Current Duke junior Gina Kim was the low amateur with a tied for 12th finish with rounds of 66, 72, 73 and 72 for a 283.

Belac, a 2020 Duke graduate, will be one of 42 first time competitors at the U.S. Women's Open, after earning Symetra Tour Player of the Year honors recently.  She captured six top-20 results across nine starts on the Symetra Tour in 2020, including her first professional win at the Carolina Golf Classic.  Belac led the Symetra Tour with $49,081 earnings on her way to earning her 2021 LPGA Tour card and an invite to compete in the U.S. Open.

Current Duke associate head coach Jon Whithaus will be caddying for Belac for the week.

"I'm really excited to have Jon on the bag and I am really thankful for his willingness to take time to travel to my first major with me," said Belac.  "Having him around will give me lots of confidence and peace of mind at the biggest tournament of my golf career up to this point."

Fans will be able to watch the action Thursday (10:30am-12:30pm on Peacock; 12:30-6pm on Golf Channel), Friday (1-3pm on Peacock; 3-6pm on Golf Channel), Saturday (11am-1pm on Golf Channel, 1-2:30pm on Peacock and 2:30-6pm on NBC) and Sunday (11am-2pm on Golf Channel and 2-5pm on NBC).

Liu will open things up Thursday, Dec. 10 off hole No. 1 at 10:20 a.m. (ET), followed by Lang at 10:42 a.m., off hole No. 10.  Boutier tee off at 11:26 a.m., off hole No. 10 and Belac at 12:21 p.m., off No. 10.
