Let’s just say you waited until the last minute to do your holiday shopping. Like really the last minute. As in Christmas Eve.
If you are one of those – or know someone who is – there’s still a little time for some one-stop shopping.
Walmart is open on Christmas Eve. Most stores will open at regular times but will be closing early. It’s always best to check ahead with your favorite location but, in general, Walmart stores will open at 7 a.m. local time on Christmas Eve (Dec. 24) and then close at 6 p.m. Stores are closed Christmas Day (Dec. 25).
Walmart stores will reopen at 7 a.m. on Dec. 26.
Easier returns this year
Walmart is making it easier to return unwanted items this year.
The company said you can create a return request on the Walmart App or Walmart.com this year. To start a return online:
- Select “Drop off at FedEx” as the return method
- Get a return code / QR code
- Take packaged return along with the QR code to any FedEx Office location.
- A FedEx associate will scan the QR code, print a free return label, attach it to the box and ship it back to us.
Also, no matter where the customers bought items – in-store, online or from a third-party vendor – customers can start their return online via the Walmart app or on Walmart.com. If customers don’t have a Walmart account, they can also type or click www.walmart.com/startreturn to save time in line and make returning at the store quick and easy.
Many stores will also have an alternate locations set up to make returns easier.
For many online returns, refunds will be credited to customers’ payment account sometimes as soon as the next day, and same day for in-store returns.
