NEW YEAR’S EVE AND NEW YEAR’S DAY
GOVERNMENT OFFICES: Most federal, state, county and city offices will be closed or will close early Thursday. All government offices will be closed Friday. Most Redlands city offices and City Hall are closed Dec. 21 through Jan. 4.
MAIL DELIVERY: Mail will be delivered Thursday; there will be no delivery Friday.
FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS: Most banks, savings and loans, and credit unions will be open Thursday but closing early. All financial institutions will be closed Friday.
STORES: Most will be open Thursday but closing early. Most stores will be closed Friday.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION:
• Riverside Transit Agency, Dial-A-Ride will run on a regular schedule Thursday. Buses will not operate on Friday and will resume a regular schedule Saturday. Administrative offices will be closed on Friday. Customer Information Center will be open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday and closed on Friday.
• Omnitrans buses will run on a regular schedule Thursday. Buses will not operate on Friday and will resume a regular schedule Saturday. Administrative offices and Customer Service Center will be open Thursday but closed on Friday.
• Metrolink will operate on a regular schedule Thursday. Trains will operate on a Sunday schedule Friday. The $10 holiday discount will be available for purchase on that day and will be valid for systemwide travel. This year, there will not be any modifications to the first inbound trains to Los Angeles Union Station for the now-canceled 2021 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena. The holiday schedule includes service on the Antelope Valley, San Bernardino, Orange County, 91/Perris Valley and Inland Empire-Orange County lines. Metrolink trains will not operate on the Ventura County Line and the Riverside Line. Regular weekend service will resume on Saturday.
LIBRARIES: Riverside County libraries will be closed Friday. San Bernardino County libraries are closed Thursday through Sunday. The A.K. Smiley Public Library in Redlands will be closed Thursday through Sunday.
SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES: Schools will not be in session.
TRASH PICKUP: Cities of Riverside and Redlands solid waste and recycling services, Burrtec, Waste Management of the Inland Empire and CR&R will not have service on Friday; service will be delayed by one day. Riverside County and San Bernardino County landfills will be closed on Friday.
