Southeastern split its four-game series at home this past weekend with Abilene Christian, winning the first game of Saturday's doubleheader and Sunday's series finale.
The Lions (20-12, 13-7 SLC) will play 14 of their remaining 21 regular-season games on the road leading into the 2021 Southland Conference Baseball Tournament, presented by GeoSurfaces. The conference's top eight eligible teams will square off in the double-elimination event, May 26-29, at Southeastern's Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field.
Southeastern enters the series in sole possession of first place in the conference standings, a half game up on McNeese (18-14, 12-7 SLC) and one game ahead of New Orleans (17-15, 12-8 SLC). Nicholls (14-17, 9-7 SLC), Northwestern State (15-15, 9-7 SLC), Sam Houston (15-16, 11-9 SLC) and Stephen F. Austin (12-16, 9-7 SLC) all sit two games back, tied for fourth place.
Christian Garcia (.318), Evan Keller (.317) and Preston Faulkner (.303) are the Lions' leading hitters. Jacob Burke paces the squad in extra-base hits (9 doubles, 2 triples, 4 home runs), RBIs (29) and stolen bases (17). Nine different players have compiled double-digit RBI totals this season.
SFA, which did not play this past weekend, dropped a pair of midweek games at No. 8-ranked Texas Tech.
Adrian Minjares (.342), Jacob Evangelista (.308) and Jordan Monacy (.282) are the Lumberjacks leading hitters. Skylar Black and Chaney Dodge have both hit a team-high four home runs. Black also leads the team with 18 RBIs. Cameron Crawford's 10 stolen bases are tops on the club.

Gameday parking during the 2021 season is $5 per day for Southeastern baseball, while football parking is $25 per day for most vehicles and $85 for RVs.

Proper social distancing techniques are required at all athletic events. Hand sanitizing stations are located throughout Southeastern's athletic facilities.
