Wednesday's soaking rains brought an impressive 1-3" of rainfall to portions of the Heart of Illinois. As of the this morning, the bulk of the rain has departed the region to the east, however a few lingering showers are possible through mid-morning.
Skies will gradually clear today, revealing some sunshine for the end of the day. Afternoon high temperatures will climb into the upper 60s.
A mostly clear night is ahead with low temperatures that will be on the cooler side relative to where they have been lately. Expect temperatures to fall into the mid 40s by daybreak.
A nice Friday, with comfortable highs in the upper 60s is on tap. Mostly sunny skies will be overhead to close out the work week.
The weekend forecast will feature a warm up to near 80° for afternoon highs on Saturday with most sunshine expected. Much of Sunday is trending warm and dry, however a few thunderstorms will be possible late in the day.
