SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The No. 25 Augustana women's tennis team is prepared to host two matches this weekend at the Huether Tennis Centre. The first match will be against Upper Iowa on Saturday slated for 3 p.m. in the NSIC regular-season finale. The second match is against regional foe Northwest Missouri State with a 2 p.m. start on Sunday.
About the Vikings
Augustana is 13-2 on the season and 10-0 within the NSIC. Most recently, the Vikings secured their 11th straight NSIC regular-season title with a 7-0 victory against Southwest Minnesota State on Wednesday.
Augustana's depth is still holding strong with the Vikings owning six of the top seven spots in singles' records within the conference. Freshman Valeriya Monko is tops in the NSIC with a 13-1 record this season. She has played her entire inaugural campaign at No. 1 singles. In doubles action, Monko pairs with Florentia Hadjigeorgiou and holds a combined 13-2 record.
About the Peacocks
Upper Iowa is 2-10 on the season and 2-7 within the loop. The Peacocks are led by Varvara Ogorodnikova with a record of 7-3 between No. 1 and No. 2 singles.
About the Bearcats
Northwest Missouri is 9-4 on the season and 5-1 within the MIAA. The Bearcats are on a three-game win streak, most recently defeating Nebraska-Kearney winning 4-3.
Vera Alenicheva leads the way for the Bearcats with a 10-1 record in the No. 1 slot. She also holds a 9-3 record in No. 2 doubles and is 6-0 when partnered with Julia Aliseda.

After having already secured the No. 1 seed in the NSIC Tournament, the Vikings will play on Friday, April 23, at 2 p.m. in the NSIC Quarterfinals inside Huether Family Match Pointe.
