More than a week after the election, many races in the Fox Valley remain too close to call.

Here's an update on where those municipal, school board and library board races stood as of Wednesday, keeping in mind that all results remain unofficial until they're certified. Any mail-in ballots postmarked through April 6 can still count as long as they're received by Tuesday.

In the race for Burlington village president, Mary Kay Wlezen maintained a 47 to 45 vote advantage over two-term incumbent Bob Walsh.

With three trustee seats open in Cary, Jennifer Weinhammer wrapped up one on election night. As of Wednesday, Rick Walrath had 773 votes, Rick Dudek had 756 and Jeffrey Kraus had 727 votes.

Corey Dixon and Carol Rauschenberger claimed two of four open seats in the Elgin city council. Dustin Good had 2,067 votes, Steve Thoren had 2,055 and Anthony Ortiz had 2,028 in a tight race for the other two spots.
