
"I mean, it's just an unbelievable feeling to make the cut at a major championship," Lin told reporters on Saturday. "It's been a dream come true for me."
In his fourth major championship appearance - Masters (2018 & 2020) and The Open (2018) - Lin made the cut of a major for the first time in his career. He was one of two amateurs to enjoy the weekend as he turned in his lowest round of 69 (-1) in round one on Thursday. The junior posted nine birdies to lead all amateurs as he finished +6 overall.

Making his inaugural debut at the British Open, Horsfield highlighted his performance on Saturday with his best round of 1-under-par 69. That same day he was the first on the course to eagle. He concluded his third major tournament - U.S. Open (2015-16 & 2019) and PGA Championship (2021) - at +3.

The veteran out of the Florida group, Horschel wrapped up his seventh appearance at The Open finishing 1-over-par. He made the cut for the second time in the tournament as the Gator alum posted his second round of 69 (-1) on the final day. Heading into the action, his bag that supported the Florida Gators and soccer team West Ham United was spread throughout social media.
