This one is going to hurt a lot. Thao’s Bistro will be closing at the end of the year. Earlier this year, we posted that they were looking for a buyer to take over the restaurant. Unfortunately, they were unable to and the decision was made to close at month’s end.
I spoke to owner, Sonny Nguyen, earlier in the week and he did confirm the closure, citing ongoing health issues.
Located at 1825 S. Broadway, they are a family favorite. The selection of Vietnamese food on their menu closely resembles so much of what I grew up on. This is such a blow to Wichita. Go give them one last big hurrah this December and give them their proper goodbyes.
They are only open Friday to Sunday 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. For more, be sure to follow them on Facebook.
