YOUNGSTOWN — YOUcare QUICKmed clinics will open Tuesday at East and Chaney high schools to provide pediatricians to students in Youngstown.
The clinics will only be open to students and staff right away but will eventually allow anyone from the city to schedule an appointment, Denise Dick, director of communications and public relations for Youngstown City Schools, told Mahoning Matters on Thursday.
During last month’s CEO update, Youngstown City Schools nursing supervisor Kenyetta Burr and Lena Esmail, CEO of QUICKmed Urgent Care discussed how the clinics will benefit the health and attendance of students by offering family medical services, including immunizations, doctor referrals and prescriptions.
The clinics will also provide care to anyone with insurance, though nobody will be turned away.
The clinics will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at East Chaney High School and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays at Chaney High School.
To schedule an appointment, call the clinic at 330-744-0221.
