CORAL SPRINGS, FL – An Office Depot store is closing in Coral Springs, the latest national retail store to close in the city in the pandemic.
The store at 651 N. University Drive will shut down on May 15, said Shera Bishop, a spokeswoman.
A closing sale at the store started on March 18.
In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission in May, the company disclosed that it had planned to cut 13,100 jobs and close an unspecific number of retail stores and distribution centers, according to the Sun-Sentinel.
Since the start of the coronavirus crisis, other national retailers to close locations in Coral Springs include Stein Mart, Pier 1 Imports, Sears, and Tuesday Morning.
The Office Depot at 9545 Westview Drive in Coral Springs will continue operating, Bishop said.
