Nearly 28,000 vaccines have been administered at the clinic since it opened Feb. 25.

The lease agreement between UAMS and the city expires July 31.

“We are grateful to the City of Little Rock for partnering with us to enable UAMS to quickly vaccinate those eager to protect themselves and their loved ones from COVID-19,” said Cam Patterson, M.D., MBA, UAMS chancellor and CEO of UAMS Health. “When the clinic first opened, we administered as many 600 vaccines a day. Unfortunately, demand for vaccines in Arkansas has declined rapidly.

“We remain optimistic and hopeful that demand for COVID vaccines will pick up, and we will continue to provide convenient locations where people can be vaccinated,” he said. “COVID vaccines remain our best – and only – hope for beating COVID.”

UAMS will continue to offer vaccines at mobile vaccine events across the state and at several Central Arkansas locations, including the UAMS Health Women’s Center at 6119 Midtown Ave., in Little Rock and the UAMS Family Medical Center at 521 Jack Stephens Drive in Little Rock. UAMS also offers a walk-in vaccine clinic in the Internal Medicine Clinic in the Outpatient Center, located at 4110 Outpatient Circle in Little Rock. Appointments are available at all locations but not required. Learn more at uamshealth.com.
