Williamson, Inc., the county's economic development department and chamber of commerce, will open its new office in the McEwen Northside development in Franklin in September.
The location is undergoing the final phase of construction as Williamson, Inc. employees continue to work remotely in accordance with state and local guidelines.
“We’re thrilled to be moving to one of the most innovative mixed-use developments in Williamson County,” said Matt Largen, president and CEO of Williamson, Inc.
“McEwen Northside encompasses all the elements of a live-work-play environment, and sets the bar for the other mixed-use projects planned in the Franklin/Cool Springs commercial corridor.”
The Mitsubishi Motors of North America also announced last year that it will also move its headquarters to the building, which will only fill 20% of the new 38,995 square foot office building at Northside at McEwen.
Williamson, Inc. has operated out of the Meridian Cool Springs development since 2013, which is also managed by Boyle Investment Company, also a developer of McEwen Northside.
“We are honored to have Williamson, Inc. join McEwen Northside as a tenant," said Thomas McDaniel, Director of Office Properties for Boyle Investment Company.
"To have such a respected organization join our community is validation of the special project that we are trying to create.”
The McEwen Northside development is comprised of restaurants, retail shops, a hotel, interactive green spaces, and upscale residential apartments.
Williamson, Inc’s new office will feature multiple meeting spaces, including a 50-person conference room, which members will be able to rent at a discounted rate.
The organization's lease will soon expire at the Meridian location, so the new space at Northside McEwen presented a new opportunity for growth, Nick Biniker, Williamson Inc. director of talent development, said.
Since 2013, Williamson Inc. has grown from 14 employees to 18 employees and has expanded its programming.
"It was an economic development decision, thinking about prospective companies moving to the county," Biniker said.
"We want to show our clients the future of office space in Williamson County, and the McEwen corridor is an ideal example of the new types of office spaces in the county."
Other mixed-use developments in the works in the area include the Aureum development on the west side of Carothers and Ovation at the intersection of McEwen and Carothers.
A move-in date and grand-opening will be announced.
The organization's new address will be 4031 Aspen Grove Drive, Suite 630, Franklin.
