Staff with the City of Roseburg has announced that playgrounds are now open in City parks.
Communications Specialist Eric Johnson said staff received further guidance from the State of Oregon regarding permitted sports during Phase 2 of the reopening process, leading to the change.
Johnson said in addition, updated guidance from the Oregon Health Authority allows volleyball and soccer to resume. Not every restriction has been lifted.
Public Works Director Brice Perkins said staff are continuing to monitor further guidance as it becomes available. He said, “as more restrictions begin to lift, we will make adjustments and notify the public as soon as practical”.
