The Loveland Public Library will shift from the curbside services of the past six weeks to a “grab-and-go” service beginning Monday.
The new process will allow customers to enter the building’s main floor to select materials from the collections, pick up holds and check out materials using the library’s self-check options, according to a news release.
Library staff will be available to assist customers and issue library cards, and will maintain a clean and safe environment in alignment with Larimer County Health Department guidelines for public libraries, the release said.
The library closed in mid-March and many of its employees were furloughed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and has since expanded its offerings from online-only services to the five-hour daily curbside service that let patrons to pick up materials ordered online, and then to reservation-only access to the second-floor technology and computer services starting on June 15.
Hours of service for “grab-and-go” as well as computer reservations will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
The library and Technology Center are reserved for customers at high risk for COVID-19 from 10 to 11 a.m.
All customers must wear face coverings and maintain social distancing. Those who are feeling sick, or who may have been exposed to someone with coronavirus should not enter the library.
Library staff remain available to deliver materials curbside, upon request, to anyone who does not want to enter the building.
To request materials, make a computer reservation or for information, call 970-962-2586.
