The Lions will be joined on their half of the bracket by McNeese and UNO who will face off at 1:30 p.m. in the opening round.
On the opposite side of the bracket, Northwestern State will take on Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 5 p.m. while Nicholls faces UIW in the nightcap at 7:30.
The three-day tournament lasts through Jan. 8th with all 12 men's games being broadcast on ESPN+.
Tickets are available at www.Southland.org. All-day general admission tickets are $20 and group rates are available for parties of 10 or more.
