The Competition
UTRGV will be playing matches against host Corpus Christi, SMU, UTEP, UT Arlington, and Lamar.
Last Time Out
UTRGV last competed at the Texas State Play Day in San Marcos.
The Vaqueros saw five of their singles matches go to tiebreaking sets while coming away with two victories on the first day of the Texas State Play Day.
Junior Ana Platisa defeated Tarleton's Natalia Komar 6-4, 6-3 in the first round.
Sophomore Valeria Montero picked up a three set victory over Tarleton's Celia Vaudiau as she won the first set 6-4, fell in the second 2-6, and won the tiebreaker 10-4.
