Austin Bars Temporarily Close Because of Staffers With COVID-19
Even more Austin bars have been briefly closing because of staffers testing positive for the novel coronavirus:

-South Austin bar Black Sheep Lodge shuttered temporarily as of June 6 because a staffer tested for COVID-19. The bar has been closed while its staff gets tested for the virus and the space is being cleaned.

-After a staffer at Jackalope tested positive for COVID-19, the downtown bar closed for two days from June 8 to 9 so that it could deep-clean the space and that its staffers could get tested as well. It quickly reopened on June 10.

-Rainey Street bar Tipsy Alchemist found out that a staffer tested positive for COVID-19 on June 10, who had called out of work the week of May 25 because they had been feeling sick. The bar has been temporarily closed since then so that its employees can be tested and the space cleaned.

Chinese Food Delivery Service Expansion
Austin-based Tso Chinese Delivery is looking to expand in a big way. First, it’ll open three more locations in Austin by 2021, with a South Austin one by the end of the year. Then, it’s looking to open somewhere in Dallas, and then elsewhere after that. “The long game is to hit every major metropolitan city in the country,” co-founder Min Choe told Austin Business Journal.

Austin Bakery Crowdfunding Campaign
In order to open Tiny Pies’s third location in Westlake, the Austin bakery is raising money in two ways. First, there’s the GoFundMe campaign, which is looking to raise $25,000. Then, the bakery is is selling $100 packs of pies, bites, and merchandise, dubbed the “pie-o-neer” packs, and those sales will go towards construction. The location, a shared space with Blenders & Bowls at 3736 Bee Caves Road, was supposed to open in April, but has been delayed because of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

New Braunfels Restaurants Temporarily Close Because of Staffers With COVID-19
Employees at several restaurants in New Braunfels have tested positive for COVID-19, as reported by Community Impact: Gristmill River Restaurant & Bar had closed since June 8 so that the space could be cleaned, and hasn’t reopened just yet; Muck & Fuss, which has been closed since June 9; Mozzie’s which has been closed since June 8; 2tarts as of June 7 and reopened on June 11, McAddoo’s from June 6 to 7; and Granzin’s Bar-B-Q from May 20 to 31.

Winery Donation
Texas winery William Chris Vineyards donated $45,000 to Southern Smoke Foundation, which was raised through the sales of its Wanderer Series Relief Project wines.
