FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) — The city's two public pools will be closing for the summer this weekend.
The Fort Wayne Parks Department announced on Tuesday that the last day to stop by McMillen and Northside pools will be Saturday, Aug. 7.
The closing comes as the county's largest school districts are set to return to school by mid-August.
Parks officials say the water playgrounds will remain open until further notice. See a list of the water playgrounds here.
The pool at Memorial Park did not open this summer. Parks officials cited a worker shortage as the primary reason.
