Boxers Impress at Spokane Collegiate Open - Pacific University Athletics

SPOKANE, Wash.- The Pacific University men's wrestling team competed in the Spokane Collegiate Open on Sunday afternoon and saw some great performances in their second event of the season. 
 
The Boxers made some fantastic progress on the championship side of the bracket, nearly setting a new program best.
 
K'den McMullin (Canby, OR) highlighted the day by earning his first collegiate wins. McMullin grabbed two wins at the 149 lbs. weight class, notching one pin and one major decision to impress early in his Pacific career.
 
Samuel Cortez (Delhi, CA) also picked up a pair of wins at 174 lbs. Cortez also managed one technical fall. Zach Higgins (Novato, CA) won twice on the day as he enjoyed a decent day at 174 lbs. as well.
 
Anthony Kraan (Klamath Falls, OR) pinned his opponent twice on his way to two victories in the tournament.

Aidan Lybarger: 0-2
K'den McMullin: 2-2, one pin and one major decision (first collegiate wins)
Andrew Zinn: 0-2
Zach Higgins: 2-2
Samuel Cortez: 2-2, one technical fall
Anthony Kraan: 2-2, two pins
Ian Higa: 0-2
Hunter Atagi: 0-2
