MEMPHIS, Tenn. – After two weeks on the road, the Tigers (12-17, 5-12 AAC) came back to the Larry O. Finch Center looking to take down the Cougars of Houston (24-5, 14-3 AAC). While Memphis kept it close, Houston would get the offensive edge and come away with the 3-0 win.

Set 1
- Memphis opened the match with an 8-6 lead with kills from Miaya Smith, Tabytha Toelke and Gigi Crescenzo.
- The Cougar offense would make a comeback with a 5-1 run midway through the set to take a 15-12 lead.
- While the Tigers stayed within reaching distance of Houston, the Cougars would get the offensive edge to take the 25-21 set one win.
Set 2
- After an early lead from Houston, Memphis would fight all the way back to cut their deficit to 20-18.
- The Tigers fended off two set points after a service error from Houston and a solo block by Elizabeth Orf to make it a 24-22 game.
- Houston would get a kill from Celeste Darling to end the set and take the 25-22 set two win and a 2-0 lead in the match.
Set 3
- The Cougars would take a lead as large as 17-11 to open the third set.
- Memphis would string together a 7-2 run after kills from Orf, Crescenzo and Autumn Hamilton to put the Tigers down 21-19.
- The Tigers would fall 25-20 after Houston got a late offensive push from their front line.
