Menlo School and St. Francis were both seeded into the Open Division of the Northern Regional state girls volleyball tournament Sunday along with Mitty.

Menlo (28-6) received the No. 4 seed and will host No. 5 Clovis West (33-7) on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Clovis West won the Central Section Division I championship as the No. 1 seed. Menlo fell to Mitty in the Central Coast Section Open Division title match.

St. Francis (18-11) was awarded the No. 8 seed and travels to Marin Catholic (28-2) on Wednesday night. Marin Catholic handed the Lancers, playing without USC-bound Madison Pietsch, their first loss of the season at a tournament in Southern California on Aug. 28.

Marin Catholic has won its last 15 matches. The Wildcats two losses were to Torrey Pines and Timpview (Provo, Utah). Marin later beat Torrey Pines at another tournament.

Sacred Heart Prep (23-5), which hasn't played since losing to Menlo in the first round of the CCS Open Division tournament on Oct. 30, was seeded No. 12 in the NorCal Division I tournament and will travel to Danville and play Monte Vista (23-9) at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Monte Vista won the North Coast Section Division I title. The Mustangs own a victory over Palo Alto but also lost to St. Ignatius. Sacred Heart Prep also beat Paly.

The status of Duke-bound Millie Muir, who was injured during a practice before the Open Division opener, will likely be a game-time decision.

Hillsdale and Los Gatos are also in Division I, with Hillsdale grabbing the No. 3 seed.

Castilleja, the CCS Division V champion, and Mountain View, which lost to Monta Vista in the semifinals of the CCS Division I tournament, were each seeded into NorCal Division II.

Tracy placed second in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division II.
